Richard Fletcher
President & Principal Broker With more than 20 years of experience in commercial property design, development, ownership, leasing and property management, Richard Fletcher combines the skills of a licensed architect with an extensive background in the management and leasing of commercial properties in the Nashville area.
Fletcher has a wide range of tenant transaction experience with small and large companies including attorneys, architects, banks, healthcare, accountants, securities, and technologies. Over the years, Fletcher has facilitated real estate transactions with almost every kind of business with every kind of space demand.
Fletcher is a partner in Nashville City Center, a 500,000 square foot office building in downtown Nashville. The property is considered by many to be the finest, well-run
office building in Nashville. Prior to the development of Nashville City Center,
Fletcher was a member of the development team of 3322 West End, a
225,000 square foot office building.
In 1996, Fletcher formed the 511GROUP to extend property management and leasing services to Washington Square, a 200,000 square foot office building. This property is one of the most successfully leased and managed Class-B properties in Nashville.
The success of Nashville City Center and Washington Square lead Fletcher in 1999 to expand the 511GROUP's services to include tenant representation.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Architecture, Fletcher served as an
interim architect with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in Chicago and on the staff of Gresham,
Smith & Partners in Nashville.
Active on professional and charitable boards and in the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, Fletcher serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Tennessee School of Architecture, the Board of the Nashville Downtown Partnership, a commissioner of the Nashville Traffic and Parking Commission, and on the Board of Backfield-In-Motion (non-profit benefiting inner city boys.) He served as a commissioner on Nashville Board of Zoning Appeals for five years between 1994 and 1999, on the board of the Crisis Intervention Center from 1993 and 1998.
In 1995, Fletcher was appointed by the Governor of Tennessee to serve on the Subcommittee on Land and Building Management, Tennessee Commission on Practical Government.
