President & Principal Broker

Richard is the president and principal broker of 511 Group. He has over 30 years experience in commercial real estate, including management, leasing and development.

511 Group’s boutique size, allows Richard to oversee the property management for his clients and to lead all leasing efforts. A long time Nashvillan, he has garnered important relationships with brokers, vendors, contractors, business leaders and community organizations.

Richard has a wide range of tenant transactions and relationships ranging from small and large law firms, social media companies, venture capitalists, banks, and local and state governmental agencies.

Under Richard’s leadership, 511 Group has been fortunate to serve a broad base of clients, including institutional, private REIT, and high net worth individuals.

Richard is active on professional, community and charitable boards: Nashville Downtown Partnership, Central Improvement District, Downtown District Energy System, Nashville Historic Zoning Appeal Commission and Board Chair of Backfield-In-Motion, a not-for-profit benefitting inner city male youths. He previously served on the Nashville Board of Zoning Appeals, Nashville Traffic Commission, YMCA and Crisis Intervention Center boards.

Richard is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Architecture. Prior to real estate, he was an interim at Skidmore Owings & Merrill and at a large architectural firm in Nashville. He is a licensed broker and architect.

MANAGEMENT

511 has been involved in property management for over 30 years. We have years of knowledge in building systems, developing and implementing budgets, preforming maintenance, tracking preventative maintenance, establishing vendor relationships, insurance requirements, emergency management, and providing accounting. Our staff is well trained in MRI, Yardi, Angus and other software programs.

511 GROUP management is known for extremely high tenant satisfaction, above market occupancy, and the ability to manage operating expenses along with prompt, personable service.
